I miss the old school 80’s Goth and Deathrock style. Though I did not live through the era I’ve always enjoyed it more than the 2000’s goth. I think the style now is too cartoonish, though some can pull it off quick nicely, and not as punk as it used to be. Which saddens me.

‘I hope to have my first flirtation with it at the end of the month, with a faintly eighties-themed club night, in rocking.. Basingstoke. Some good friends of mine are putting it on though, and I intend to do whatever I can to get hair that big. It is.. a daunting prospect, but the lady on the right looks amazing to me.’

fluxmorz submitted this photo of Wednesday Mourning up a tree. How bloody gorgeous is this photo? It’s all very elongated and ethereal and lovely.  I makes me wonder whether she has extraordinarily long legs under that skirt… or if she stole her elderly neighbour’s lace curtains and decided to sit up a tree and drape them over her legs (in which case her neighbour’s going to be rather upset when she gets home and her curtains are covered in bark and leaf litter and pulls).  Either way it makes me want to find a white lacy dress and sit up a tree in a dark forest. I love the position of her hands and the draping of her hair.  What’s not to love about this? Oh, that’s right, it’s daytime.  She’s not smiling and anyone who can successfully pull off a widow’s peak style fringe deserves bonus points.4.95 out of 5 - Steal lace curtains and pose up treesPhotographer:  Rebekah Boyle Model : Wednesday Mourning
